Our Story

I began this journey after learning way too late in life in my 40s, what I have been using for myself and my family for decades on our skin I thought was soap, were actually detergents. So, I thought to myself: “How many other people know that the stuff they think is soap is actually detergents not much different than what they use to wash their cars?”

My 5 year old daughter has eczema. So, I decided to make my own soap instead of ordering the expensive stuff from the internet that cost 15 dollars a bar (which was only moderately helpful in controlling her itching). The first bar I tested on myself, and then made her a bar to try. A day later, she stopped complaining about her skin being itchy and hasn’t complained since.

So I decided, why stop there? I made more bars for family and friends, getting better each time with unique designs and smells, and still continuing to improve with each new batch. It’s time for the little guys to get back to good old-fashioned soap-making made by hand to give the people a better alternative to mass-produced “soaps” made in factories by machines using harsh detergents and artificial ingredients.

Our Promise

Moore Clean Soap Company promises:

  • Every bar sold will be made by hand, animal cruelty free, using as much natural ingredients as possible, right here in the USA. I will not import cheap soap from wholesalers to resell for a profit.

  • To never sell you a bar that I myself have not used from the same small batch to ensure the highest level of quality. I may lose sales using part of a batch and deciding the whole batch is unsuitable for sale, but it’s a small price to pay to make sure it’s good for use for me and my own family before I ever sell it to anyone else.

  • Competitive pricing.

  • Prompt delivery.

  • Responsive customer service.

Disclaimers

  • Due to the handmade nature of production, the shape, weight, and coloring may vary from picture. Packaged soap may be moist in feel upon delivery. This is normal, as natural glycerin and some shea butter bases “sweat” as in drawing in environmental moisture. Mass produced soap-makers use chemical agents to eliminate this issue, we do not use these agents.

  • Our soap and soap products are not officially approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat skin problems such as eczema or any other ailments. Our products are not intended in the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any disease. This notice is required by the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

  • Allergy Test: We recommend you perform an allergy test for every product on a small patch of skin prior to using rather or not you have known allergies. For example, we can not 100 percent guarantee pure olive oil nor pure coconut oil since all suppliers have different standards in producing such oils, despite my due diligence to ensure the products are of the highest possible standards based on personal testing and thorough research and vetting of suppliers.

  • All products generally contain, but not always: Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Vegetable Glycerin, Olive Oil, and Castor Oil. Some people may be allergic to these ingredients despite their purity and natural origin. Feel free to ask us at anytime about your allergy questions, and definitely consult your doctor before use if you have known allergies to any of our listed ingredients.

  • Do not eat or let your children eat the soap. Some of the soap scents mimic food items. Do not leave small children unsupervised while using.
